‘As Scared As You’ is a genre mashup that purposely avoids placing well-intentioned, conventional characters front and center because — it's predictable, and we've already seen that a million times.

As a story, it’s cold, and it’s mean.

Essentially, there are no heroes in ‘As Scared As You.’ It's an all-human reverse-home invasion horror/thriller freak show with no one to believe in, in the ensemble of murderers, monsters and villains.

Be less surprised by the level of carnage in ‘As Scared As You,’ and instead, be more surprised if there’s actually a developed character in ‘As Scared As You’ for the general audience to root for.
